We had a white birch cut down after it was found to be slowly collapsing under its own weight - Darren and co turned up within 24 hours of agreeing a time to sort it out, and it was cut down and chipped within an hour of turning up. Everything was done safely and the price was reasonable - would absolutely recommend and will use again if I ever have a need to.

Excellent service. Darren came out first to discuss and was clearly very knowledgeable about the needs of the different trees in our garden. The team were respectful of the garden and neighbouring properties and left it all very tidy.

Contacted Darren as I had poisonous bushes in the garden where my toddler plays. He came with two other men, round the next day and took them both away for me. Very reasonably priced and really good quick job, very happy. Thanks so much!

FAQ: Tree Surgery in Woolton

What services does a tree surgeon in Woolton usually provide?

A professional tree surgeon (arborist) carries out pruning, crown thinning and reduction, crown lifting, felling and removal, stump grinding, hedge maintenance, deadwooding, emergency storm work and tree surveys. All work follows current UK standards.

Are you fully insured for tree surgery in Woolton?

Yes. Tree Craft Liverpool holds comprehensive public liability insurance, giving you peace of mind for every job, large or small.

How much does tree surgery cost in Woolton?

Costs depend on tree size, species, access, location and the type of work required. Simple pruning is generally less expensive than full removal with stump grinding. We provide free site visits and clear, no-obligation quotes tailored to your Woolton property.

What happens to the waste after tree surgery?

We remove all branches, logs and debris, leaving your garden or site clean and tidy. Wood chippings are recycled where possible to reduce waste and support sustainable practices.

Do I need permission for tree work in Woolton?

Yes, if the tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or stands in the Woolton Village Conservation Area (or other nearby conservation areas). Liverpool City Council requires consent or notification before most works. We can check the status during a free consultation and help with the application process if needed.

Do you offer emergency tree services in Woolton?

Yes. We provide a rapid response for storm damage, fallen trees or branches that pose an immediate risk. Call us as soon as you need help.

How often should trees be pruned or inspected in Woolton?

This varies by the type of tree, age and condition. Many mature trees benefit from inspection every few years and pruning every 2–5 years to maintain structure and health. After storms or if you notice dieback, leaning or large dead branches, an earlier check is sensible.
